Lucie Poš, meiden name Kavalcová, was born in 1980 in Brno, Czech Republic. She graduated in Medicine in 2005 at Masaryk University Brno and defended her doctoral thesis “Optimizing surgical intervention and therapeutic and diagnostic procedures in patients with congenital abnormalities of the gastrointestinal tract, with a focus on intestinal obstruction and anorectal malformation” in 2018 at Charles University in Prague. She works at Department of Pediatric Surgery 2nd Medical Faculty Motol University Hospital since 2005, she specialized in Pediatric Surgery in 2011, and currently she holds the position of consultant in the same department. She attended Great Ormond Street Hospital and UCL Institute of Child Health, London, Great Britain in 2012 to get international experience. She developed specific interest in the field of Colorectal Surgery, congenital malformations and sacrococcygeal teratoma, being trained by prof. Richard Škába and Dr. Rousková. She has published several papers in international journals and participated in many international conferences, and she was member of Congress organizational committee of the 7th World Congress of the WOFAPS in October 2022 and 23rd International Meeting of the Pediatric Colorectal Club in June 2016, both in Prague.
